Often I am mesmerized by light and shadows and reflections. It doesn’t take much to capture and hold my attention, like these pieces of wood that I spotted in the waters off of Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge.

Stunning image, Mike!!! M 🙂
Very nice, Mike!
Thanks, Ellen. I was in a kind of “artsy” mood when I took that photo.
That’s a good thing, Mike! It’s always fun to spot subjects like this while out in nature and the reflection is a bonus.
Thanks, Ellen. I like to shoot almost anything that catches my eye. Sometimes when I review my shots, I discover that some to the captures did not turn out the way I wanted, but at other times, it turns out even better. I try not to judge my results when I am out shooting, since the back of of my camera has deceived me many times in the past. 🙂
Nice photo, Mike.

Thanks, Mitzy.
We build. It falls down. God washed it away with time. Great shot.
Thanks, Molly. I am not at all sure what that structure. There are a number of places near the shore where there are duck blinds on stilts that look like little shacks and I wonder if this might be part of one of them.
You are absolutely right. Light, shadows, and reflections are so memorizing!
Thanks.
