Wishing you all a sense of inner peace as you begin a new week, something that we all need during these troubled times. That was definitely the feeling that enveloped me as I contemplated this beautiful water lily last Thursday at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens during a short photography expedition there with my friend Cindy Dyer.

Beautiful picture. Wonderful thought. And my wish is the same to you, my friend
Inner peace. It’s what motivates me to return to nature as often as possible. Thank you, Mike!
Great way to find peace is in the outdoors
I totally agree with you, Josh. Wandering about in nature definitely has a therapeutic effect on me.
Beautiful, Mike. Love the colour of the water and the flower’s reflection.
Thanks, Pete. I was happy that the waterlily was at least partly in the shade, which helped me avoid blowing out the white highlights. The dark water helps accentuate the white, thought there was still enough light for there to be the wonderful reflection.
We must all strive to protect our natural environment . It’s so very important to us all.
Absolutely. One of the benefits of the quarantine and lockdowns in the last few months is that more people are aware of nature. They see the slow rhythms of nature in their neighborhoods and hear the birds singing.
To you too, Mike. Beautiful photo 🙂
Lovely image, Mike, and sure has that feeling of peace with that beautiful flower and depth in the water. May that peaceful feeling stay with you.
Thanks for the lovely photo. Definitely is peaceful and walking through gardens is a wonderful thing to do! Wishing you peace as well!
Thanks so much. The gardens that I visited are really big, so it was easy to avoid people and enjoy nature’s beauties on my own terms.
You are welcome. Sounds like a lovely time. Being in nature always is
Wish I could find more water lilies around here. Peace to you too!
There were not that many in bloom at the gardens that I visited, but seeing even a few water lilies and lotuses in bloom definitely lifted my spirits.
Lovely picture. Thank you. And peace to you. It’s so needed.
You are welcome and I am in total agreement.
Lovely image, Mike. We can use all the peace we can get.
Amen!
The reflection adds a wonderful dimension to an already-fine composition. And you also managed a bonus bug! Prayers for peace back to you too.
Thanks, Gary. By the standards of my friend Cindy, the bug doesn’t count as a “bonus bug,” because I was aware of it when I took the shot–no bonus for me.
Good vibes ppl🪐
Thanks.
