I’m still making my way through my photos from my recent encounter with a Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes), trying to decide which ones I like most. What an unexpected pleasure it is to have so many shots from which to choose.
I am so thankful and feel blessed that I had the chance to observe the fox in the wild for a relatively extended period of time. For more info on the encounter, check out my initial posting Fox at water’s edge.
Here are a couple more of my initial favorite images from the shoot. Stay tuned for another possible posting if I decide that I simply have to share a few more images.

All GORGEOUS, but I still like the first one. 🙂
Thanks, Carol. When I did my first scan of my shots, the first image that I posted was the one that stood out the most. It has a bit more sense of action, with muscles tensed and the fox focused. I think I’m having that first one and the first one today printed and see what I think then.
When framed, post the pic of them on the wall!
I love the reflection Mike.
I’m happy for you to have the luxury of choices after that extended opportunity. What a treat. I hope the printing turns out well.
Thanks, Lyle. There is a photo contest at the park where I take so many of my photos and entries have to be in by Friday. I can submit only four images and may include one of the shots of the fox.
fantastic reflection
Thanks, Julz. The reflections in the ripples of the water are, in fact, my favorite element of the image.
Stunning photos! I love both of them but especially the one with him drinking water.
Thanks. The reflections are what make the drinking shot so special for me.
Awesome shots.. 🙂
Thanks, Ed.
Excellent!
Thanks. Allen.
Great shot of the fox reflected in the pond.
Beautiful shots! Love red foxes.
