The new year has started. Like these Canada Geese, we have taken off and are continuing our journeys. Who knows where we will stop along the way? The wind and other obstacles may cause us to make unexpected stops or detours—things will undoubtedly not go according to our plans or maybe not even our desires. Best wishes and prayers for all of you on your own adventures this year, that you remain safe and healthy, joyful and at peace.

When you make plans for nature it always has something else in mind! Happy New Year Mike.
Very apropos, Mike. I’ve certainly enjoyed your photographic journey this year and look forward to the next. Happy-est New Year!
Thanks, Sue. You were one of the first persons to comment on my blog when I started it six months ago. As I recall, you made a comment about the Blue Dasher dragonfly that I photographed being in the “obelisk” position. Thanks for all of the support and encouragement that you have given to me and best wishes for a wonderful 2013.
I’m pretty sure I know one thing that will happen to you in 2013. Your pictures will just continue to get better.
Thanks, Lyle. I’m still learning, but in the eight months or so since I started getting more serious (and six months blogging), I’ve noticed some improvements already. I welcome tips from more experienced photographers like you (I almost made a reference to “old hands like you,” but realized that you’re quite a bit younger than I am. Best wishes for a successful 2013.
I think I feel more like an old hand in age than photography especially after I just finished looking at some amazing images others have done. I think everyone is on a learning curve and I’m certainly happy to share anything I’ve learned if you have questions.
A very good start to your new year, Mike. May it be as productive and rewarding as you hope!
Have a safe journey Mike and wishing you a very happy New Year.
Thank you very much, Marco, and best wishes for you also in 2013.
