I’m dreaming of a white Christmas, but it definitely will not happen here in Northern Virginia where I live. High temperatures today are forecast to reach 67 degrees (19 degrees C), which is quite a bit warmer than normal for this time of the year, and we are much more likely to see rain than snow this day.
In order to put folks into more of a traditional Christmas spirit (at least those of us who live in the Northern Hemisphere), I thought I would post a few snowy images from my visit in late November to Mount Rainier National Park in the state of Washington.
Merry Christmas to all of you who are celebrating today and best wishes to all for a happy and healthy new year.

Its snowed here over the past week. We have lots to share…if that were possibleπ
Blessings and Merry Christmas to you, Mike.
Merry Christmas, Mike. Same here in SW MO! Your pictures are beautiful. The last time I visited Mt. Rainer it looked just as that! I love it!
No snow here in southwestern Ontario, Canada either Mike. We woke up to a beautiful blanket of snow yesterday morning, then it rained last night and itβs all gone. Itβs supposed to be around 50 degrees here today. Timing is everything. Merry Christmas to you and thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures.
Merry Christmas from Brother’s Campfire! π€ π₯πβ¨ππ
Thanks.
White Christmas is coming, I think. Merry Christmas ππ
Merry Christmas, Mike. Thank you for the stunning photos of Rainier and the Cascades.
Merry Christmas!!!
Thanks so much. I hope you too had a wonderful Christmas.
A lovely Christmas gift! Your photos make me wish that the White Christmas Eve celebrated here in Rhode Island was not turning into a Wet Christmas Day. It is presently 31 degrees with a mixture of icy rain & snow falling on top of that beautiful snow which is expected to become just rain for most of the day. A partially White Christmas is better than none at all! Have a very Merry Christmas! Thank-you, Mr. Mike!
Beautiful images Mike! And Merry Christmas to you!
Have a peaceful holidayπ
Merry Christmas, Mike. Thank goodness no sign of a white Christmas here either.
Thank you very much too!ππ π₯
Merry Christmas Mike. A good Christmas here is fine, warm and summery and it’s doing just that this year π
We have had a spell of warmer weather, including on Christmas Day, but the forecast for the new two weeks is for cool, cloudy weather with periodic rain showers.
Merry Christmas, Mike!
Thanks, Laura. Your boys are old enough now that Christmas celebrations are probably a bit more restrained than when they were younger. I hope that you had a blessed Christmas time and I wish the best for you and your whole family in the upcoming new year.
Just beautiful, Mike. Thank you.
Thanks, Nina. I just talked to my son who lives outside of Seattle and they have about six inches of snow on the ground with more forecasted to fall.
