Bearded irises are now starting to bloom in the garden of my dear friend Cindy Dyer, so I walked over yesterday morning and grabbed a few shots of them. Spring is a beautiful time of the year.

especially love that first one
Thanks, Molly. In some ways, taking photos of flowers like this is a very different experience than traveling into the wild and patiently searching for subjects. In both cases, though, I’m trying to capture some of the beauty that I experience in nature. As the title of your blog, Treasures in Plain Sight, my photos help to remind viewers that beauty is not limited to exotic subjects and locations. Beauty is everywhere, if we can quiet our busy minds and open ourselves to the natural world.
So true!! Keep sending out those photos. You bless so many!
