As I was walking through my neighborhood yesterday, I was delighted to spot some daffodils (g. Narcissus) that were already in bloom. The ground is still brown and bare and not very photogenic, so it is hard to take a “pretty” picture of these beautiful little flowers.
I used a short macro lens capture these images of the early daffodils, the advance guard for a multitude of spring flowers that will arrive before long. I am ready for the spring.

I’ve not spotted any daffodils with us yet. Looking forward to that first sign of Spring when they all start to appear.
Thanks for sharing your photos.
How exciting! Ours aren’t blooming yet.

A year ago we moved to Wales, where the Daffodil is the national flower, and St Davids day is 1st March. I’m really surprised at how many daffodils were already blooming at the end of Feb. I’m sure they didn’t used to raise their heads until the end of March! Anyhooo… it’s lovely to see them – so cheery in this gloomy time.
Lucky you! we still have almost a foot of snow here on the NH seacoast. We are sooo ready for spring!
Marvelous! And, I think your photos of these daffodils are pretty, Mike.
Nice to see flowers. We are still mired in snow here.
Thank you!
Nice! We’re a few weeks away from seeing daffodils here in Ontario, but I know they’re there underneath the snow.
I always love when they bloom of hope in the Spring! Thank you, Mike!
Daffodils always signal that spring is on its way!
Very pretty. Ours aren’t up yet, or chipmunks ate the bulbs.
