My long weekend of catsitting is coming to an end today, so I decided I needed to do a posting on Queso, the youngest member of the cat trio. Queso is still a kitten and is full of energy and curiosity. He loves to antagonize his two older “brothers” and will sometimes pounce on them when they least expect it.
Cindy Dyer and her husband Michael rescued Queso when they found him abandoned in the bushes outside of a Mexican restaurant. That initial experience and his orange-yellow fur caused them to name him Queso.
Tomorrow (or possibly later today), I’ll be back to my more typical wildlife and nature photos. It’s been a fun challenge this past weekend to shoot “wild” animals in an indoor setting with available light.

Reminds me of fudgy, son of puddin, which are cats from my past. What strange names we give them.
I’m glad that people choose more sensible names for their children than for the pets (in most cases).
The first picture, particularly, is phenomenal. Those EYES!!! (Especially when zoomed in. M 🙂
I love the second photo. He seems to be asking, “Won’t you love me? Huh? Please?” And the answer, of course, is, “Yes. Yes, I will.”
He looks hungry Mike.
I’m a cat lover. This cat is precious! We had a cat named snuggles who looked like this cat. My son brought snuggles home from the local pet store. He thought he was getting a male cat named Snoopy. We already had a cat and really didn’t need a kitten. Snuggles learned to sleep on my son’s chest. That’s fine when she was a kitten. At 14lbs, not so good.
Love Queso’s expression! Beautifully captured!
Thanks so much. I was thrilled to be able to capture Queso as well as I did.
Queso looks mischievious! Gorgeous!
Queso is quite a handful. The first couple of months he was segregated from the two adult cats, but now he more than holds his own with them. I suspect they view him as a pesky younger brother.
They say cats are solitary beasts who don’t like being with other cats, they just put up with.
Sometimes I think cats merely tolerate us too.
