It’s hard to believe how long the neck looks in that first photo, due to the angle. How absolutely graceful in flight in the second!
When they are flying, egrets remind me of ballet dancers. I guess, though, that “Egret Pond” doesn’t quite sound as inspiring as “Swan Lake.”
