It was a really foggy start to the day in Vienna yesterday and the photos I took looked almost like they had been taken with black and white film.

If you crop out the lights, the person walking in solitude along a misty pathway could make a good poem 🙂 Still the picture speaks a lot.
Thanks. I hadn’t thought about the scene from that perspective. I may havetaken some shots without lights that might be viewed that way.
Lovely, looks like the start of a very spooky movie.
Excellent! Great mood in the images, Michael.
I love these shots! The whole effect is wonderful – you’ve captured the ‘feel’ of this place with such skill. The light, the lines, the perspective, the solitary walker, the softness, the cold, the very early hour before dawn. . . Beautiful. Enjoy your visit!
Thanks for all of your kind words. The irony is that this was not shot before dawn. It was at 8:00 a.m.–the fog was so thick that there simply was not much light.
Wow, that’s some thick fog. Fascinating!
Lovely shots, creating a special mood, one that we have all been familiar with at some stage, love it.
Thanks for your wonderfully kind words. I was happy to capture that moment (fog can be tough).
It looks more wintery there than it does here.
Great photo, Mike. Love the way the lampposts evaporate into the fog.
Fog isn’t veryy nice to walk through but it makes great photos
