Excellent shot of a Peck’s Skipper (Polites peckius) – should be pretty common but at the edge of its range; interestingly, I just saw my first one last week in a tiny population in the White Mountains of Arizona.
Thanks for the ID, Joe. I saw that the wing pattern looked bit like a Peck’s Skipper, but didn’t want to hazard a guess.
