It would be somewhat of an understatement to say that my hotel in Vienna is quirky. The individual rooms are decorated with a circus motif; just above the entrance is a sign that boldly proclaims, “We are all mad here;” and the rooftop sign for the hotel announces that you should “come as you are.”
The 25 Hour Hotel in Vienna is obviously designed for a younger, more hip crowd, but I really enjoy the vibe of the hotel, even if I am outside the target demographic. Moreover, it is really conveniently located for the work I need to get done.
It’s hard to capture the feel of the hotel in a few photos, but I hope these images give you a sense of the experience that the 25 Hour Hotel provides—it’s a welcome change from the sense of faded glory that characterizes some of the older, more traditional Vienna hotels.

Quirky definitely sums it up! How fortunate you are to be able to travel to this beautiful city from time to time – even if it’s on business!
That mural reminds me of an old Twilight Zone episode. Very strange.
Vienna must be a nice city to visit 🙂 Hope I’ll get to see it soon enough. I would really like to visit it in December 😀
I love quirky!
Ah, you’re just clowning around over there! Oh. Or, are you running away to join the circus?? 😉
I’m with the NH gardner; Rod Serling would have loved that place and gotten plenty of inspiration. It’s probably just as well that you didn’t show us the trapeze that hangs from the ceiling above the bed…
Did you have nightmares sleeping in the room with “quirky” decor?
Not yet…other rooms have murals with tigers and ringmasters and sword swallowers and such. I like it, but you know what kind of car I drive, so you know I don’t mind being a little “different.”
Send in the clowns… and what kind of quirky car do you drive?….. A Yugo?
I drive an orange KIA Soul with a license plate that reads “BLESS MY.” (It’s a burnt orange color that KIA calls “Ignition” and not a bright orange.
I used to have a lime green MG midget.. 😉
