Patricia M. Osborne is a talented UK-based novelist and poet. I became acquainted with her wonderful work during the COVID pandemic, when I started following a number of poets published by The Hedgehog Poetry Press. I attended numerous Zoom readings by these poets and gradually expanded my circle of creative friends. Tricia has been a source of endless encouragement to me over the last few years, providing lots of thoughtful comments on my wildlife photographs.
Tricia has a blog, Patricia’s Pen, where she generally features poets and other writers. This year she decided to expand her subject pool to include visual artists. I was honored when she asked me to a guest and today she focused her attention on me in a posting in which I talked amount my journey in photography.
Here’s a screenshot of the start of the posting. You can check out the posting in its entirety at https://whitewingsbooks.com/2024/03/12/guest-feature-michael-q-powell/ . While you are on the website, I encourage you to check out Tricia’s poetry and prose works as well as her other guest features..

Thank you so much, Mike, for the shoutout. I’m truly honoured to have had the chance to feature you and your wonderful photography, and words, on Patricia’s Pen.
I enjoyed reading your piece. I think you are a talented writer as well as photographer. I really like your message to slow down and really attune to your surroundings. That’s beneficial advice for us all, not just photographers.
Well done, Mike. Well deserved.
Congratulations, Mike! 👏
Well, I did that backwards, Mike. I should’ve read your blog post first. Excellent! You write as well with words as you do with your camera.
