I can’t seem to get enough of these little green tree frogs and continue to try to get photos of them whenever I can.
In this shot, my eyes were drawn textures and colors—in particular, the bumpy texture of the frog’s skin and the contrast between the light olive green of the frog and the darker green of the leaf on which it is sitting.

Excellent contrast…great pic!!
Thanks. It was, in fact, the contrast that caught my attention when I first looked at the image on my computer. The leaves on which the frog is perched are not perfect, but they have a certain kind of “character,” which adds a bit of interest to the shot.
I agree, just lovely!!
The tutorial is very eye opening. They are expanding my observation skills and the knowledge of what I see.
I like it!
Amazed that the little guys let you close enough to get these great shots. How far away are you actually? I know you are using a telephoto lens.
I think that these guys like to snooze during the day, which may be why I can get close. I was only about 5-6 feet away, I think, and used a 180mm lens.
