A blog about a frog on a log in a bog—is this how Doctor Seuss got started?
The subject is ordinary and the composition is simple, but I really like the result. The frog seems to be lost in a moment of contemplation as he stares out across the pond and I made sure not to wake him from his reverie as I quietly snapped his photo and moved on.

Beautiful, I love frogs
Thanks. I too like frogs. I have been hearing lots of them at my local marshland park and I am always happy when I can actually see one of them.
Especially if they sit there long enough for that perfect shot.
I don’t recall Dr. Seuss tackling the subject of frogs – if he didn’t that would be a serious omission! If we had frogs like this I think I would going after their photo quite often.
Totally appropriate for a Seuss-type story. I’ve been fascinated by frogs ever since I can remember, and I also can’t resist taking one along when I’m abroad with a camera (which is nearly always).
Still haven’t seen any here yet but the spring peepers are peeping so they’re out there.
I have been trying to get shots of a peeper, but so far have unsuccessful. I hear their very distinctive call, but they seem to be all but invisible.
