I love listening to red winged blackbirds.
Me too, though occasionally the males get really loud and a little obnoxious–I guess that is what they have to do to attract the ladies. 🙂

Thanks, Gary. It was cold and a bit windy. I think he also was getting ready to sing, so he had taken in a big breath of air. Somehow the background makes this look almost like a studio portrait–I don’t recall how I managed that, though I am usually pretty attentive to try to keep the background uncluttered.
