I like that heron silhouette. I’m surprised he could see anything to catch though.
I am not sure he had any success, though I did see him catch a fish a bit earlier in the afternoon.
Well done with the crescent moon shot Mike. Impressive.
Nice you have the herons at your marsh. Wish they still stuck around here. You waited a while too, more patience than I have. 😀
Thanks, Donna. This heron seems to be hanging around a lot. Several others have taken photos of him recently at the marsh. I did get some photos of him catching a fish that I’ll post soon.
Such a beautiful time of day!
Thanks. The colors as the sun went down were not spectacular, but were amazingly beautiful nonetheless.
Excellent shots, just wait till the next full moon and you get that feeling of being a lunatic, and with 600mm max, its crater time..:-)
I like the attitude of the heron regardless of success.
Very interesting end of day photos…Love seeing your spin on this.
Thanks, Charlie. Things are always especially beautiful, it seems, at the early morning and at dusk.
Lovely dusk photos
Thanks, Marie.
