It finally stopped raining in Vienna and I was able to take a walk through the Christmas market in front of the Rathaus (City Hall). There are rows and rows of stalls set up with all kinds of products and food.
In the midst of all of the artificial lights, I was struck by the beauty of the moon, which kept peeking in and out of the clouds.

Impressive building!
Cool photo!
Thanks, Sue.
The building is absolutely mesmerizing! I helplessly fell in love with Vienna through your photos…
I have been to Vienna numerous times for work over the past 20 years and the city never ceases to charm me. It’s a fascinating mixture of Old World charm and avant-garde culture. At this time of the year, the shortness of the daylight hours and the demands of my work kept me from seeing much of the city in the light of day, but, as I tried to show in my photos, the city is spectacular at night.
