My goal for this photo was pretty simple—move slowly toward this grasshopper and get a good close-up shot. I think that I achieved my goal. I love shooting with my macro lens.

Thanks. Not long ago I got a Tamron 180mm macro lens and I continued to be amazed at how well it works.

I never knew that grasshoppers were so colorful. Beautiful!
I’m noticing that there is a lot more diversity in grasshoppers than I realized (and they seem to come in different color combinations).
