I love taking photos of frogs (I can blame the Muppets and Kermit the Frog) and captured this image of a Northern Green Frog (Rana clamitans melanota) this morning at my local marshland park. I am not sure what was floating on the surface of the water, but it provides a nice contrast to the color of the frog.

[ Smiles ] That photograph of the frog is awesome!
Thanks. It’s not a very exotic creature, for sure, but there is often something whimsical about a frog.
[ Laughs ] Indeed!
Healthy frogs are a good indicator of a healthy ecosystem. Good to see it–through your eyes.
A little bit of Kermit nostalgia from the swamp, a little bit of Rainbow Connection. http://youtu.be/jSFLZ-MzIhM
Thanks for sharing the link, Charlie. It’s not often that I remember the opening sequence to a movie, but the opening to The Muppet Movie is a notable exception, as we gradually zoom in to Kermit, sitting on the log playing the banjo and singing The Rainbow Connection. I watched the video this morning as I started my day and feel inspired. Thanks again.
I wonder if he would eat that spider in your previous post.
