I love to photograph raindrops, normally focusing on a single drop, but I was really attracted this weekend to the rows of water drops on a single leaf of this Hosta plant. Many of them formed perfect little spheres of water, like tiny jewels or little water pearls.
Sometimes it’s easiest to find real beauty in simplicity, with no need for bright colors or ornate details.

Truly gorgeous; it is wonderful to see expressions of this side of your creativity.
Thanks, Charlie. Usually I stick with more realistic subjects, but sometimes I see something more abstract that really catches my eye and I feel almost compelled to photograph it.
The lines are also nice.
I like this one.
Thanks. I don’t know what it is about hosta plants, but this is the second time that I was able to photograph drops of water like this on one of them.
Very artistic!
Thanks for reminding me of water drops. They can be so fascinating! Great picture
Thanks. There always seems to be something to shoot, though I somehow never know what will strike my eye until I see it. Sometimes it’s merely the light or the angle that attracts me.
It’s best for me to go with no expectations… which is easier said than done.
