What do you do to cope with the heat at this time of the year? I stay indoors a bit more in my air conditioned house and decided this week to work on a cool little cross stitch pattern. Although my ears are not quite as long as those of the dog in this image, I confess that I have been spending a lot of time in front of a fan as we cope with a heat wave that has enveloped much of the United States this past week.
As I noted in a blog posting earlier this month, I returned this year to cross stitching, which I did a lot during the 1980s and 1990s, after a break of about 20 years. I am working on a bigger project, but sometimes it is fun to knock out little projects like this one that make me smile.
