Are you a traditionalist when it comes to celebrating Valentine’s Day or do you prefer a more modern approach? The cross stitch community is amazingly diverse in approaching this holiday.
Here are two projects that I have recently stitched. Love Lives Here by Michelle @bendystitchydesigns.com is traditional in its colors and motifs, while Out of This World by DH @www.etsy.com/shop/TheCozyDHShop has a modern vibe in its colors and subject matter.
I loved stitching them both!
Happy Valentine’s Day, no matter how you choose to celebrate.

I would be considered a traditionalist when celebrating any holiday. However, in the matter of these lovely cross stitch pieces, I am quite drawn to the second more modern piece with the theme and bright coloration. “Love is the whole thing. We are only pieces.” – Rumi.
Happy Valentine’s Day! Thank-YOU, Mr. Mike!!
These are both delightful. I find it is fun to bop around between different art styles and subjects plus it helps keep me out of a rut. I, therefore, appreciate that you try out different styles for your cross stitching.
I agree….love both for different reasons. You’re inspiring me to take up counted cross stitching again:) Thanks for sharing. Will look forward to your next project.
