Reflection of Vienna

I love trying to capture unusual reflections, like this cityscape of Vienna that was reflected last week in the tuba of a band that was playing in the center of the city.

  Thanks. I was hoping to get a better angle for the shot, but there was a crowd gathered around the band, so I made do with the angle that I had.

  Thanks, Chris. I am trying to mix it up a bit. Somehow the standard photos of Vienna didn’t really appeal to me this trip, so I tried to think of a different way to take some shots. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don’t, but it’s always fun to play around–I think that most of us shoot for enjoyment and fun plays an important role in the creative process for me.

  Thanks, Ollie. “Normal” reflections, which look exactly like the original, are wonderful, but I especially like how the shape of the horn distorts reality and acts almost like a fisheye lens.
