During a walk this past weekend through a local garden, I was surprised at how many flowers were still blooming (or were newly blooming). Here is a somewhat random assortment of photos of those flowers, some of which I can identify such as a zinnia and a pansy, but others are nameless beauties to me.

Beautiful!
Pretty cool they are still blooming, Michael! The top one is a Zowie Zinnia, the second one is a Stoke’s Aster, third (pink) one might be a Cheddar Pink (but I’m not 100% sure), fourth one is a Japanese Anemone (windflower), fifth one is a Spiderwort (they bloom REALLY long) and the last one is indeed a pansy (also known as a viola).
Thanks, CIndy. I knew the first and last ones and might have been able to come up with Spiderwort, but the others were a mystery (though I think you have the Stoke’s Aster in your garden and might have told me what it was).
Excellent macros, I found a few holdouts yesterday in Indiana..:-)
Thanks. We may have a few snow flurries tonight, but the temperature is supposed to make it up to 60 for the weekend. We’ll probably hang on for a not longer than Indiana.
Enjoyed the pictures. That’s sure more color than we have here.
